Contract FAQ

What is a Fixed Term Contract?

A Fixed Term Contract is when our client chooses to lock you in for a period greater than 8 weeks. During the fixed term contact you will be employed and paid directly by our client.
Will I accrue leave during the Fixed Term Contract period?

Refer to the employment contract to see whether you will accrue leave or whether a loading is being paid in lieu of leave.
What happens if you are asked to extend the Fixed Term Contract period?

You must contact your Consultant to notify them immediately of the extension. They will then be in touch with their client to confirm that nature of the extension. As roles often involve over time, your consultant will also review the duties you are performing to ensure you are being paid appropriately.
What happens if I am asked to convert from a Fixed Term Contract to a permanent employee?

You must contact your Consultant to notify them. If you’d like to accept a permanent position, your Consultant will then review your responsibilities, review the permanent job description and negotiate your salary on your behalf.
